TALENT: What is FastCast and who is it for?

FastCast is a mobile-first casting tool designed to help you find roles and manage your career in emerging markets. This article explains how the platform works, who can use it, and how you can get started.

FastCast is a casting platform built by Talent Systems. It is designed specifically for emerging entertainment markets—like India—where casting usually happens over fragmented tools like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Excel spreadsheets.

FastCast brings the whole casting experience into one simple, mobile-friendly place. It is built for two types of users:

• Casting Directors and their teams: They use FastCast to organize projects, manage cast lists, see talent submissions, and chat with performers.

• Talent (Actors and Performers): You use the FastCast mobile app to create a profile, browse roles, submit to opportunities, and respond to casting reach-outs.

Note: FastCast is currently only available in India, with plans to expand across the broader APAC region and other emerging markets soon.

The FastCast talent app is mobile-only and is available for both iOS and Android devices. To get started, follow these steps:

1. Open the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device.

2. Search for FastCast.

   

3. Tap Install or Get to download the app.

4. Once installed, open the app and tap Register to create your account.

If you try to open a FastCast link without the app installed, you will be sent to a web page with a "deep link" that guides you to the correct app store for your phone.

Note: Casting Directors access FastCast through a web browser at app.fastcast.com. There is no app download required for casting users.

FastCast is built to work across different devices depending on your role.

Note: The casting application is 100% mobile responsive, so casting directors can use a mobile browser if they are on the move. However, for talent, the experience is exclusively through the native mobile app and cannot be accessed via a web browser.
